Hey friends! We’re in Eugene making sure we have everything we need, moving out of our rooms/apartment, and packing our bags. We leave tomorrow! This post is to give you a general idea of our itinerary and to say goodbye before we head out!
We are driving South toward Red Rock Canyon National Park tomorrow morning. Red Rock Canyon is a national conservation area and climbing destination located just outside Las Vegas, Nevada (http://www.desertusa.com/redrock/ for more information). Since this is roughly a 16-hour drive, we'll probably split it up into two segments, stopping to camp along the way.
The plan is to be in the Red Rock area through December, and then will travel to San Francisco to see Jeff and Val just after New Year's. Our flight to Bangkok leaves SFO on Wednesday, January 5th, and returns on Friday, March 18th. In summary, we'll be spending about two and a half weeks in Red Rock followed by ten weeks in Thailand. More details on the second part of our trip coming soon.
For now, it's time to hit the road. Next post coming soon from Red Rock :)
