San Francisco was/is the perfect launching pad for our Thailand trip. We enjoyed good weather and delicious food with Jeff and Val, and ran all of our little errands within walking or close-driving distance, even though driving in the city can be ridiculous at times (Jeff is skilled, I am not). Anyway, we've done most of what we need to do, gotten our last round of immunizations (ouch Japanese Encephalitis), and called all the necessary credit card/insurance companies. Now it's just final round of packing and go! We fly out tomorrow at 1:50 PM. Our flight is about 12 hours to Beijing and another 6 hours to Bangkok. Here are some pictures from the last few days in San Fran: Jeff and Val's apartment, our wanderings in hipster urban coffeeshops, and our last dinner and drive around the city.
